2.2 Meaning of "openjobs". In this Cookie Policy, "openjobs", "we", "us" and "our" mean the entity identified at clause 2.1, and where the context requires, its affiliates.
2.3 Defined terms. Capitalized terms used in this document and not defined in it have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service for Employers.
3. What is a cookie
3.1 A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the Services are used.
3.2 Similar technologies, such as web beacons, pixels, tags and mobile software development kits, perform comparable functions, and references to "cookies" in this Policy include those technologies.
3.3 Cookies may be session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or are deleted, and may be set by openjobs as first-party cookies or by third parties providing services on its behalf as third-party cookies.
4. How cookies are used
4.1 Cookies are used to operate and secure the Services, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, analyze usage in order to improve the Platform and, where permitted and with consent where required, to support and measure marketing.
4.2 The categories used are:
- Essential. Strictly necessary cookies that enable core functions such as signing in, account security and navigation. The Services cannot work properly without them and they cannot be switched off.
- Analytics and performance. Cookies that help openjobs understand how visitors use the Services, which pages are viewed, how users arrive and how features perform, so that they can be improved.
- Functionality and preference. Cookies that remember choices you make, such as language or region, in order to personalize and improve your experience.
- Targeting and advertising. Cookies set by openjobs or its partners in order to deliver and measure marketing and to limit how often you see an advertisement. Used only where permitted and, where required, with your consent.
4.3 A current list of the specific cookies in use, including their provider and duration, is available through the cookie settings on the Services.
5. Analytics, advertising and third-party cookies
5.1 openjobs may use analytics tools to measure and understand how the Services are used and, where it runs marketing, cookies, pixels and tags to deliver relevant communications and measure their effectiveness. These tools may be provided by third parties who process the resulting information under their own policies. Where Applicable Law requires consent for these technologies, it is obtained before they are set.
5.2 Some cookies are set by third parties who provide services on or through the Services, such as analytics providers, marketing or measurement partners, and embedded content from other platforms. These third parties use cookies subject to their own privacy and cookie policies. Their identity is reflected in the cookie settings on the Services.
5.3 Where the Platform includes social-media sharing or embedded content, those providers may set their own cookies and receive information about your visit, under their own policies.
5.4 openjobs pages, including job postings, resources and blog pages, include options to share content by copying a link, by email, or through Facebook, WhatsApp, X or LinkedIn. Where a share option is a plain link, using it does not by itself set cookies on the openjobs site. Where a share option is provided by the platform concerned, or where you choose to share through one of those platforms, that platform may set its own cookies and process information about you under its own cookie and privacy policies, which openjobs does not control.
6. Web beacons and similar technologies
6.1 openjobs may use web beacons, pixels and tags, being small graphics or code snippets, in the Services and in emails, in order to understand usage, measure campaign effectiveness, and determine whether an email has been opened or acted upon.
7. How to control cookies
7.1 You may control cookies as follows:
- through the openjobs cookie consent tool, you may accept or reject non-essential categories and change your choice later;
- through your browser settings, you may block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Services from working, and you may need to sign in again; and
- through industry opt-out tools and your device's advertising settings, you may limit interest-based advertising.
7.2 Because cookie names and technologies change over time, and some third parties are outside the control of openjobs, turning off the cookies described in this Policy may not eliminate all tracking technologies you encounter.
8. Changes to this Cookie Policy
8.1 openjobs may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any update applies from the date the updated Policy is posted, and the "Last updated" date shows when it was last revised.
